JAKE'S STORY

Hi!  I am 12 years old and in the fourth grade.  My doctors think I have about 150 bumps! Some are as big as baseballs! I have had two operations so far. My fingers, knees and ankles are affected most, and I use pencil grips and fat pens to help me write. I'm a fullback on a soccer team for my school. I use pain patches and medication and I can keep up with the others pretty well! I love everything to do with animals. I collect them and I know all kinds of statistics about them. My favorite movie is "Wild America", and when I grow up I want to be a veterinarian or "animal adventurer" like Martin and Chris Kratt, the hosts of a nature show on Public Broadcasting. I also love to play Nintendo and I'm pretty good at the "Golden-Eye - James Bond 007" game.
