Poems by Tabetha, Age 15

I Never Knew

I never knew
why she was different,
I never understood
why she had so many bumpy bones

The only thing that I am sure of was that
God made her a special girl
There are others out there like her
who are different too

I never knew
why she was different
I never understood
why they teased her

The only thing that I knew for sure
was that she was different from me
The only thing I knew
was that she was special

Deep down inside she is loving,
caring, and kind

I never knew
why she was different
I never understood
why she went through
so much pain

Till this day I stil don't know
The only thing that I know for sure
is that I love my sister...

Jessica, I love you!

Why Her?

Why did God have to make her different?
Why does he put her through so much pain?
Why did he have to choose her?
WHY NOT ME?
Why did the lord choose my sister?
WHY NOT ME?
Oh, Lord, answer me
Why did you have to choose someone who is so important to me?
WHY NOT ME?
I don't like to watch her suffer,
I don't like to see the pain in her eyes.
Why does it have to hurt so bad?
Is there no cure?
Not right now
Just so many surgeries for her to go through
Oh, Lord, why her?
WHY HER?
WHY NOT MEEEEEE?
